Katherine Sobering

Katherine Sobering is an Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas. Funded by the National Science Foundation and Fulbright Commission, her dissertation is an ethnographic study of changing organizational practices in worker-recuperated businesses in Argentina. She received a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was a Graduate Fellow in the Urban Ethnography Lab, and a BA/BBA from the Plan II Honors Program at UT-Austin. Her work has been published in Sociological Forum, The Sociological Quarterly, and Sociology Compass. She is currently working on a book about collusion with Javier Auyero.
