MARCOS EMILIO PÉREZ

Marcos Emilio Pérez was born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Washington and Lee University. Previously he was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Sociology at Colby College. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Texas at Austin and a BA in Political Science from Torcuato Di Tella University. His work has been published in the Latin American Research Review, Mobilization, and Qualitative Sociology. He is currently working on a book about the experiences of activists in the Unemployed Workers’ Movement in Argentina.
